My Himachal’s Dr. Madhu Aman Sharma organised the Lohri function for Himachalis in Muscat at Seeb Farm house on 13th Jan 2011. Most of the families and bachelors joined this event. The programmed started with Geetha and followed by ladies sangeet and Himachali songs by Pratap Chauhan and Dhyan Chand. Dr. Madhu honoured all participants through Himachali Caps. All participants kept a 2 minute silence in memory of death of Mr. PL Azad’s his father in law.

Muscat Himachali’s had recently celebrated NYE 2011 in Muscat Oman. Dr. Madhu Aman Sharma had organized the gathering of 90 Himachali’s in Muscat, Oman. The event started with welcome message from Dr. Madhu Aman Sharma and followed by the events: Fancy Dress Competition for Children, Couple of the Year Award, Bachelor of the Year Award, Great Tambola, Prize Distribution Function. Dr Sharma also shared the message from My Himachal for HOPE Scholarship-2011 and motivated all members to contribute for this great cause.

This group has formed the Himachal wing in Muscat for the first time to promote their cultural heritage and awareness. The Himachal wing celebrated their foundation day on 15 April, 2010 and the Indian Social club recognized this wing in Oman. This was the first time ever in Muscat when Himachali’s stood united and shown their presence in Muscat, Oman. Now they want to be part of My Himachal and get involved with all their activities.
